100 multiplayer hunts achievement

does the sos flare "only support hunters" count? and do i need to be in a recommended lobby or can it be a private one?

Lobby doesn't matter. If you are on a quest with at least one other human player it will count for the achievement. Responding to sos flares or checking lobby member quest is fastest.

support hunters aren't players, therefore it isn't multiplayer, genius

if i launch the sos flare the quest can be joined at the "MULTIPLAYER" tab, genius

The best way I did this was playing with my friends and when they got off then I joined the Kutku capture mission via sos flare and helped people 50 times since captures was also an achievement too.
