CPU running Wild
Hi, i have a Ryzen 7 7700 on a a b650 tuf gaming plus, cooled with a thermalright Ba 120 (One fan cooler). While playing Monster Hunter Wilds, my temps are about 63°C to 68°C, but there are moments, for example when i end a Quest, where mu CPU fan speeds up and the CPU hits 79 to 80°C for 2 seconds and then back to the previous temps.I don't know of this Is normal and if this sudden temps could ruin my system.

Prolonged high temp can reduce lifespan of hardware. At around 80°, I will say that it isn't dangerously high, but I would interpret it as a point where I will start looking for solutions to bring the temp down.
I suggest a new cooler, one with bigger heat sink. I can recommend Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 5, or Deep Cool AK620 (fits two fans) which I use personally. I'll update with my temp in a little while.
Edit: 5800x3d Deepcool AK620 Temp was at 57 mid hunt in the plains.
Do what you will with the information these people give to you. Run it at 95 degree if you'd like.

m8 am5 are designed to run up to 95degrees c and even amd has came out to say they can and will run to 95, completely fine.

No issue, 80c is certainly warm, but nowhere near dangerous to anything.
But the question is, A new cooler for 2 seconds at 80°C, while other games when playing and loading keep the CPU stabile at 55°C to 65°C?

different games run differently, and even in the same game, you have different times where the cpu is hammered harder

Normal. You should do something about it, though.

Again, no - you don't need it.

80c for a CPU is no issue, especially if it's for 2 seconds here and there.

Didn't ask. You are welcome to keep trying to convince as many people as you can to run CPUs at that temp. I'm plenty happy with mine running 20° that temp, thank you.
Weird hobby though, ngl.

Don Woligroski, senior processor technical marketing manager at AMD, explains that “all of the quality analysis for Ryzen 7000 series desktop processors was done at 95 degrees Celsius. The chip is engineered to live its life at this temperature with no detriment to longevity or reliability.”

wat part of this sentence do u not understand maybe u understand amd's hardware better than amd but sure go ahead

Why do you need convincing about what is normal, though... It is like climate change: modern CPUs are like that.

I do know AMD's hardware better than AMD, glad you finally wrapped your head around it.
Again, you got a damn weird hobby. I already told OP to run the CPU at 95° if he wants. I'm doing my part.

my man will get along well with the dude that claims 100% vram usage kills your gpu

Dam, that was something. I should have given that guy an award for originality, first time I heard that kind of nonsense.

I think your strong opinions are misplaced. Besides, Khergit Horse Archer is known to give good advice in such regards.

If you want to stay with your opinion, you can.

Just... let the others not be afraid of that misconception.

And threadstarter can still do something about it, but if you claim you got so little temperature, it is just bragging in comparison. Good for you though. :mhwilds_OK:
