Where was the Jin Dahaad safezone?
Topic, just cleared Dahaad and just ate both of the thermonuclear explosions, Divine Blessing is a meme

But for future's sake I'll just ask where the ♥♥♥♥ was I supposed to go lol. Olivia was just stumbling about and the nuke hit me even when I was behind a corner on the edge of the map

You need to save iceblocks for those. Dont pull them down to early.
Jin Nova? Drop the rock and stay behind it.

Yeah it’s really poorly designed. It gives you the tutorial after you die to the nova telling you to pull down the rocks and hide behind them. If you never noticed them or if Jin never really went under them for you to pull it down and notice they stay, you will probably just die to the nova. Just about everyone I’ve played with carted to the nova on the first Jin Dahaad hunt.
In jins arena there are little interactable ice blocks in the air above you. shoot one with a slinger to drop it, then run behind it and stay behind it during jins nova.
Dont drop them before he starts to charge his nova, cause he can destroy them with attacks when they are on the ground leaving you nowhere to hide when the nova comes.

It is rather obvious, as the blocks do not get destroyed when they fall down. Plus you should have two at the ready all the time.

It's just an awareness check, Drop rocks when it starts the animation, stand behind the rocks.

And yes, I also carted to this first time and then you practically get told to do it.

Bruh lmao I did just luck out of my first cart LOL

Yeah I slammed those rocks on him every chance I could, and just happily facetanked the nukes

This assumes you pulled one down. Also no there aren’t any safe zones on the floor during the fight in low rank. In high rank I’ve never noticed if there was one already down as I just destroy his ability to do novas before he can ever do one.

I didn't even get the tutorial for it until the high rank version of the quest. I just assumed they were meant to be dropped on its head to deal damage. Didn't even notice they stuck around because I assume it just destroyed them pretty quickly after it dropped on him. But yea the ice blocks you can hide behind. Alternatively you can just fast travel back to base camp if you can't reach one in time, or farcaster.

Yeah he's a bit of an elitist on these forums, those rocks break when dropped onto him.

What an odd Monster, the game even has a popup window tutorial WITH Olivia shouting at you to "DesTRoy tHe RiDGeS"

Bruh

I just face tanked it with the healing shroud and potions lmao
My first cart was the game not explaining Jin Dahaad's nuke until after he nuked.
Farcaster is useful to take for new encounters. It's a good safety tool to use when you're new to a Monster, and unaware of mechanics.

Nothing about this is poorly designed. Game gives a chance for player to figure something out first, before it gives you a tip. And many many players do, and it's a great feeling. More games need to do that.

This.

Let the players learn for themselves if possible, then give them the tip when they fail once.

SO much more rewarding if you figure it out on your own.
