VRAM usage on this game is seriously HIGH!

I've been using 'Task Manager' to read the amount of VRAM usage on my 9070XT Red Devil series and I was shocked that it eats nearly 15GB of my GPU's VRAM! From there I kind of panic and had to re-adjust my settings. Seriously, Capcom needs to adjust the game VRAM usage a little more.... it's scary!

I had to reduce Mesh Quality to High from Highest.
I have to set up-scaling to Balance and revert from "Quality"
Shadow Quality and Shadow Distance has to be set to Medium. It eats VRAM like crazy!

Finally "Ambient Light Quality... OMG... this is a killer on my VRAM! Instant set to Medium!

There's been report of GPU burning and cable burning. Haha! No way I will be buying 5090! Also, I will refrain from getting 5080 Ti either or touch Nvidia. Sorry.... no Nvidia for me!

Finally, It's running stable at 13.2 - 13.5 GB VRAM. Good!

That's the reason it's using a lot of VRAM.

hires texture pack ask for a minimum of 16gb. how you didnt know this?

That's the reason it's using a lot of VRAM.

But, I am glad that it's not eating like 15GB right off the bat! xD

I love High Res Texture and I am glad I kept it. Makes the experience cool and beautiful!

High VRAM usage is not an issue. If your VRAM doesn't overflow, just keep the settings high if your fps are fine.

High VRAM usage is not an issue. If your VRAM doesn't overflow, just keep the settings high if your fps are fine.

Good point! But I prefer keeping like 10-15% VRAM free so it's not chocking on the GPU VRAM usage.

Oh HELL NO! Using all VRAM available is like a death sentence for my new card! Hell no and NO! I want to take care of it... getting a good GPU is hard enough. I managed to get the 9070XT Red Devil out of pure luck and waiting.... I don't want to ruin it. Scalpers these day can FCK OFF!

That's not how VRAM usage works. If that kills your GPU, your GPU was defective to begin with.

That's not how VRAM usage works. If that kills your GPU, your GPU was defective to begin with.

It's not defective. But I have a mind set where I give at least 10-15% free VRAM as headroom for it to function.

its not normally... there is a bug where sometimes when you start up the game everything goes to hell and ram/cpu/and gpu usage go through the roof. If that happens then restart the game. If i happens again restart steam. If it happens again restart your pc.

Every time i start up this game i go through this song and dance and i do hope they fix it one day lol. (sometimes i get a good one first try sometimes i have to restart my pc before i can get a good startup)

But when you get a "good" start up the game uses like 25% of the resources it does during the "bad" startups.
