When is a good point to level up armor?
Right now I like the Dahaad armor as my general go to. Not sure, though if it's a good time to invest into armor upgrades, yet or if it's a waste of armor spheres at that time in the game (HR 61).

I upgraded it when I felt I was taking more damage than I liked.

You're towards the end game so I would start planning what armor sets you want for your final builds and upgrade those.

Only upgrade the final pieces that you'd be wearing, armor spheres are easy to farm up with the event quest but each upgrade costs a lot of gold - 20k per after upgrade 2 or 3 at tier 8. With 7 levels that is 100k + gold per armor slot, that's a lot of money, when you get like 3-4k per hunt. So don't waste it on armor you are not gonna be wearing.

Every time you faint is a good time.

it's not really a game changer right now either way. if you're not planning on switching up armor in the immediate future just go for it

Right, I'll wait for a while. I just had the optional quest of that big Ice monster ahead of me and I remembered it giving me a bit of trouble previously but then I remembered that his name is Jin Dahaad and that I'm wearing his armor - so nevermind, lol!

Honestly your resistances will play a bigger part than defense (it does help though), so if you struggle on a particular fight - A lot of people struggle with Gore for example, then they could equip a Dragon Resistance talisman maxed out, or slot some Decos, etc.

I wouldn't hoard them, the spheres I mean, as you will get plenty over time. So you can definitely use them!
If you find yourself fainting often, then you definitely need to upgrade your armour. If you're not fainting at all, then you're probably fine not to, but you get a lot of materials to upgrade armour in this game that there is no reason not to upgrade whenever.

Not even a little bit, actually. He looks menacing but he doesn't hit anything, gets easily stunned, easily paralized and easily countered since his attacks come as they are telegraphed without any misleading windups. Didn't even break a sweat with Lala Ornithocton + maxed out paralysis and stun + Rocksteady mantle.

But I'm one who found Tigrex easy in World. I tend to have more problems with slower enemies which slowly windup attacks where you're never quite sure when they release them. Jin Dahaad for example was much more of a problem for me initially.
