Why we cant customize armors
Hello im new in the monster hunter games and my question is why we cant customize armors and change colors why are they color locked?

Low Rank(LR) armor is color locked.

High Rank(HR) armor is not. You can manipulate 2 color slots on those.

Continue with the story and you will unlock glamour options for all of your (HR)armor.

Once you reach high rank you also unlock layered armor (You can swap the look of your armor to any high rank armor set you have made).

You cannot turn one into the other, but every LR armor has a HR armor counterpart (same model. Made from the same, but more powerful, monsters).

Just continue with the story and treat it like a prolonged tutorial with some story elements.
It wont be too long until you reach HR and are able to customize your look a bit.
