Killcels be seething over capturechads
"Wahh wahh I wanna kill the monster I wanna waste 2 minutes of my day over and over again for 2 Lala Barina Scale+" NYEHHHHH :steammocking::steammocking::steammocking:

We're in 2025 and you're still killing monsters? I'm a series vet bud. I've been capturing since World. So for YOU to come to MY game and tell me I'm wrong? Nice try. You can get those extra one or two scales and hides if you want them in your own little private game. Me? I'm gonna be capturing and saving precious time that will be spent honing my many crafts.

When you're ready to stop eating shrimps with the wimps, let me know. Share some lobster with the monsters once you're ready to clean out the poop in your skull where your brain's supposed to go.

A vet, and you started with world? Lmao, you're a fiver, a baby!!! Hell, I began with mh4u, and I still don't consider myself a vet. 4u was the beginning of the mainstream phrase and the end of it being a niche title, and when world came out, it was the easiest yet.

if you played from the early days, you'll know it was better to trap the monster cause you got more parts. That's why its so many trappers, it's people who read text and understand the benefits. killers are just mindless robots who skip all dialogue and just wanna kill monsters. you know the "I just got off work crowd\I has kids crowd" the people who ruined gaming. capturing was always the preferred method over carving. The game told you that in earlier versions. to be mad at that is to be mad at the game. that didn't start changing until world when they started locking monster parts behind capture and carve and then in wilds they just messed it up even more and just said screw everything capture or carve we don't care. which essentially made killing worthless now. if you kill the monster you're just wasting time.

I'll be more annoyed if those that capture monsters showed in a quest and refused to break parts.

Especially with break-specific-parts items that can't be obtained even if you capture the monster.

If you join in a quest, try to break everything from the monster first, then do whatever.

part breaks are a byproduct of the goal: hunt the monster
accomplish this goal and you will receive that which you are trying to get from the part breaks
become faster at accomplishing this goal and you will quickly realize that breaking monster parts as a method of gaining items is not as efficient as merely running the quest faster

Etxactly this. If you cant break parts when monster is at 20% your team isnt working together.
Does Blangonga still require fire damage to break its teeth?

Capture rates for items are worse than carves.
The rare parts have 3% to 5% drop for capture, carves are 5% to 8%.

i believe you just need to break its head which is doable by enough of most forms of damage

2-3% doesn't make a difference

no they don't, captures roll carve reward rates, and in this game if you are after a gem the intelligent decision is to look for an investigation with a guaranteed reward, not to spam random hunts and get mad at people that try to make them go by faster

In older gens you needed to deal at least 1 point of a specific elemental damage to be able to break certain monsters parts (fire for Blangonga's teeth and dragon for Teostra's horns, for example) otherwise they wouldn't break no matter how many times you hit them there.

"Series vet" and "capturing since world" are wild statements.
You likely only started with world.
RbdPanda 16. mar. kl. 11:17
You're not wrong, but calling yourself a series vet and saying you've been 'capturing since world' as if that was so many generations ago is funny

Those parts do not exist.

capturing monsters is just soy behaviour. if you dont kill you are fueled by estrogen.
