World is def harder cause its closer to the older style, so less movement options hunter is harder to control etc.
Rise is more arcadey, you have crazy anime style special moves and can zip around like spiderman on little wirebugs.
So i guess it depends on which style appeals to you more, both are solid games.
No clutch claw, lots of vertical movement with wirebug moveset and MOUNTS. You can't go back now.
world is way closer to wilds, with way more content an the gameplay is still great, ignore it when other people say it is clunky, it is not.
also, the older MH games do play quite different than the newer ones

Rise is the more fun choice
