Haptic Feedback Not Working Mid-Game (PS5 DualSense)
After starting the game, haptic feedback works properly for a while. However, at some point—without any clear trigger—the haptic feedback becomes disabled. Controls still function without any issues. The only way to restore the haptic feedback is to restart the game client. Has anyone found a solution for this issue?

I think your cable is dropping connection. On my end, haptics die if my controller loses connection. I had a wonky USB cable that would do this sometimes and replacing it worked. Dualsense sends haptic information through sound signals, so it installs a sound device, and this sound device is only connected when the cable is connected. Since it works at game launch, it's probably already enabled and isn't set at zero.

But I think there's still something you can try before replacing the cable.

If you're on windows, open the sound control panel (Settings > System > Sound > Related Settings (on right) > Sound Control Panel), find your Dualsense Wireless Controller speaker and

Set the device as the Default Communication Device.
I think that when the device is dropped, from unplugging the controller or otherwise, Monster Hunter loses track of it, and only checks the Default Audio Device and the Default Communication Device to determine whether or not a dualsense controller has been hotplugged into the game.

This in particular has made it so I can unplug and replug my controller without losing haptics, so I think that will help even if something is going on with your PC that makes the sound device disappear for Wilds for a moment.

Some other things that might help:

1. Ensure it's configured as a quadraphonic
Right click, Configure Speakers, click next, tick the two boxes
RL and RR are the two haptic motors. I'm not 100% sure what the other two are. Probably mic and built-in speaker? This apparently worked for some people. I don't think it ever did anything for me, though.

2. Ensure Exclusive mode is off.
In sound control panel, go to Properties > Advanced > Exclusive Mode (No boxes ticked). This will stop any other program from taking your sound device and blocking Monster Hunter Wilds from sending haptics to it. I had Nvidia Overlay or Voicemeeter or SOMETHING block the haptics, and this setting helped stop that. If there's some external program that routinely accesses all the speakers on your PC and takes exclusive control of the devices, that could be the trigger that blocks Wilds from accessing the haptics.
