I see you. I was there when you cried and b*tched about the scoutflies in World. I was there when you took a big dump on Palamutes and Wirebugs. Go back to Freedom Unite and Tri. In all honesty, p*ss off. You lot are never f**king satisfied and have made what was once a lovely, united, cosy and supportive community of memers into some of the worst, most obnoxious, entitled gamer man-babies I've ever seen.

This fandom sucks now and I hate it. So-called "veterans": Your snobbery, your elitism, your bragging over thousands of hours in previous games, it's all insufferable. You all f**king suck.

I'm just tired. I'm not directing this at every veteran or oldhat, nor am I intending to target anyone reading this just because they played since MH1 and have, justifiably, got gripes about Wilds. What I am annoyed with is that, from my perspective, nobody is seemingly allowed to enjoy Wilds for what it is without a snob telling them it's actually crap and that they should feel bad for liking it. That it's been "destroyed by the normies" and that it's the "worst MH ever." I exploded a bit here. I shouldn't have. I just feel that the fandom I once really liked being a part of won't stop being awful about the new game and those of us who do actually like it or even love it are being drowned out. The fandom used to be a more welcoming place. Now I fear it isn't anymore.

Tbh, I avoid the Artian weaps because I think they're uggo. Much prefer the expedition tree CB, even if it's not the bestest in the whole-wide-world weapon.

Weapon variety is only gone if you're a weak-willed meta-slave.

I did like having to mark monsters with paintballs more, but monsters and enviroments are a bit more dynamic now so it makes it more accessable i guess. If you didnt have pushback from the fanbase though most deveopers would run over series so its check an balances games fun all that matters and its stayed true to its core.

Well, it's supposed to mean that you've played an extensive number of hours in previous games. That's why veterans gain a reputation, they (we) tend to be kind of arrogant.

The complaint is just about people having negative opinions. You don't have to be a veteran for that, it just happens more with veterans since they're more likely to have played a better entry in the franchise.

You can go to any series that's been around for long enough and experience the same thing:
Step 1 = Pick out whichever the worst game in that series is and play that one first (sometimes it's the newest game, sometimes it's not).
Step 2 = Have fun. Since you don't have context, and most long-running series don't have any particularly bad entries, this won't be hard.
Step 3 = Tell people about how fun the game is. Someone will, probably aggressively, attempt to redirect you towards the higher-rated games in that series.

Some examples (excuse my Nintendo):
Bioshock 2
Zelda 2
Apollo Justice
Advance Wars: Dual Strike
Every Smash Bros game that wasn't Melee or Ultimate

They really just want to say we're wrong though and that the old games sucked.

I play since 4 on the DS. Bit unsure about the wound mechanics and the hunts are awfully short now.

But i like it and happy for you your enjoying the game.
