What is going on in this forum?
Everyone wants to block/ban each other.

I thought the Monster Hunter community was really united and friendly, it's why I decided to give the series a try (and loved it enough to 100% achievements Wilds).

But all I'm seeing lately is hate, negativity, and rage. Is this the true face of the MH Community or is it just Steam Discussions being Steam Discussions?

In general, gaming has gotten more toxic in recent years and beyond the more cultural things, it has more or less devolved into this and them thinking where people feel entitled to their own experience (They they personally define) and anything that evenly remotely challenges this is a bad thing.

Its a thought process present in almost every comment, from complaining that a game is too short over admitting they consumed it too quickly, or calling out people for playing certain ways.

At the very least this is how most steam forums feel. Im sure its true elsewhere.

This happens every time a niche series goes mainstream. And it's both ends that end up being toxic.
Just another typical day in the steam discussion boards honestly

This too lmao
I've played with console players on MH Wilds and they're usually grateful for help

its the PC players i've run into that are usually more toxic or more egoist (based solely on my experience)

it was, now its not a small community anymore and is being flooded with people who want the game to conform from what it is to what they want it to be, and are bringing in politics and elitism along with them.

It's people who want to farm for jesters and awards that mess it up
This the forums it's normal lol
Monster Hunter hasn't be considered friendly since World, when it exploded in popularity.

Welcome to the internet. People being toxic in forums isn’t anything new mind you, all forums go through this. Typically results from tribalism, the idea that if you don’t agree with one side you clearly must be on the other side, there’s no grey area, you are the enemy.

There are helpful people on these forums of course, but there will always be trolls and toxic people regardless. Best to just ignore them and move on. No one ever wins on these forums they just stop posting because it’s not worth it to fight over an opinion about a video game.
Poorly developed game of a beloved franchise will do this to a fanbase.

Capcom is good at ruining beloved franchises.

It's all forums. Sadly the bad apples is always the loudest.
