Input loss in this game
Anyone having input loss during game play? Some time when I press a button and nothing happen to my character, his just standing there doing nothing, when I press sidestep, my character just standing there doing nothing until I get hit by monsters. This really makes me mad

It's cuz you gotta wait for whatever animation to finish, there's no queue.

Bow? Sometimes the game doesn't read my input after power shot. That never happened in World or Rise. So the hunter stays there doing nothing with enough stamina to dash dance

I'm still unsure if it is like this by design or an issue with my PC, I'm using frame generation.

Yeah the issue started after the last patch for me.

Its not (just) frame gen actually. Theres some jank coding going on. Quite a few youtube videos on this subject on certain weapons...
I don't notice it happening in combat but I feel like the radial menu doesn't work half the time. Changing it in the options to require a click of the stick to select the item makes it very obvious that it flat out isn't working sometimes.

That and using items from your hotbar. Sometimes it doesn't take. Sometimes it even FINISHES the animation and still doesn't work. (most noticeable when spreading powder).

The latest patch broke item usage.

I've noticed this happening occasionally in multiplayer after the last patch. Not often, but enough to be annoying.

It's not an animation window thing. It will happen while stationary and trying to draw attack. It just won't attack and I'll have to hit the button 3 or 4 times before it goes.

Has never happened outside of MP.

Some of them are caused by this, but sometimes my character doesn't have any animation to finish and cannot make any control when it is about to be hit.
I took a break to play other games and came back and now going absolutely insane spamming the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ x button to use my potion only for my character to do absolutely nothing and die. Same with radial menu items and item bar. This was not happening at before.
Actually i noticed this too.

I have dlss and fg turned off and didnt experience any delays for a time other than some animation jank.

But for some reason the game started to eat an input here and there.
Like it wouldnt read my RT/R2 input to morph my swaxe in the usual combo, or it ate my offset input which is especially annoying because it feels to me like i do it the same as always or when i go for the sword mode counter Y+RT/Triangle+R2 it just morphes to axe but at least that one did happen before so i guess its probably just controller jank.

At first i thought my controller is dying which could still be the case but with other people noticing this too it seems at least a little less likely.

I also had the "mudwave" graphical bug at least 3 or so times now which never happened during the beta or the first 2 weeks of release.

Here is hoping these things get at least partially resolved with TU1

Framegen aside, there's always been this issue in mohun games where you're trying to do something but your hunter is still on a subtle wind-down from the previous action and won't do it.

That is normal, what isn't normal and something new to Wilds is input loss when your hunter is doing nothing at all
