None of these games have a story beyond: monster is causing a problem, should we kill it?
Handler- Guild authorizes you to kill it.
Ok next monster, kill or not?
Handler- Kill it.
Next monster?
Handler- Oh capture that one.
Ok next monster?
Handler- Capture that one too.
Really? Have you seen the size of that thing?
Handler- Yea I’m just joking, kill it too.
You're blind if you aren't noticing capcom (Attempting to) add more 'serious' lore to MH.
The reason what we get is so badly done is cause they half ass it.
You're just a clown pretending to be a fan of the series to rile people up when you really don't know anything about the actual fanbase that has been here for 20 years.
You need to tell Capcom that. Most people here don't care for the story but Capcom was bent on delivering it.
Personally I dont see why people are hating on Alma, as someone playing MH since '04 shes great.
Understandable, but i personally blame the brainlets that are in the gaming scene now that dont pay attention to anything.....just something we are gonna have to deal with more and more in every game. Thankfully I'm old enough to not care too much and working more and more towards games that need more brainpower than physical reaction time and I wont see it as much.......emphasis on "as much"
That said, the story in Wilds isn't very good and mostly unnecessary. At least they put some effort into making the guild rep feel more organic to the experience rather than sitting behind a desk. I don't think anyone really had any issue with a guild rep until the Handler in World and even then, it was just a whole lot of silly whining. And who the heck had issues with Minoto and Hinoa?
Either way, this just seems like a silly thing to be upset about in a game about boss fights.
Maybe it's time for the 'old guard' hunters to retire since nothing capcom will do in the new generation of games will appease them. Ya'll are worse than Gen 1-ers in pokemon. How dare the new fans desire something different.
Also I said it before, and I'll keep saying it till you clowns get it. I'm not asking for Shakespeare, just half decent characterization that makes the character you know, fun to be around? That doesn't seem to be an impossible ask for a series with such simplistic writing as MH. If The Legend of Zelda can pull it off then Capcom and MH can too, with a bit of elbow grease. I mean it's a 100+ Hour game, give the handler character a personality that won't make 90% of the fanbase hate them.
