Does anyone LIKE the Artian weapons?
Let me just lay out a basic pros/cons

Pros:
- Infinite endgame thanks to weapon attribute gacha
- Any element or status on any weapon type with good damage and at least 20% affinity
- Robust playstyle customization

Cons:
- Infinite disappointment thanks to gacha
- Complete invalidates monster weapons
- Only one look, and if you don't like it then ♥♥♥♥ you
- Infinite power creep
- Any future updates or DLC have to be designed around this ♥♥♥♥ somehow and it's not looking good

I understand why it exists mechanically... it's for infinite gacha grinding, since apparently gem gacha isn't enough. I don't like it at all, though.

If (when) there's DLC adding G Rank and higher tier monsters, they're going to have to either be balanced for busted ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Artian weapon builds or be as underwhelming and impotent as base game monsters, and that just doesn't give me high hope for the future of this game either.

Personally, I hate it. It can't be removed, though, and I'd be genuinely surprised if Artian weapons were nerfed in a patch or DLC, so... I guess I have to cope.

I hate it. I think that RNG outside of material drop RNG needs to die.

I just wish they weren't so ugly...
No roll is dissapointing unless you are a minmaxer, It doesnt invalidate monster weapons why would they, All weapons are only 1 look, How is it infinite power creep? DLCs dont need to necesarily care about artians
no i genuinely hate every single aspect of the artian weapon system including the fact that they are essentially the only endgame option for people with ocd. if they wanted an endgame grind system the could easily have copy pasted the one from sunbreak which was farkin incredible might i add! and it even was in place because of gore friggin magala....
The only reason I dont like Artian weapons is the designs. That's it. Nothing else about it.

I hope CC will implement layered weapon.

The end game of sunbreak wasnt there because of gore, it was the Qurio, nothing to do with frenzy
I cant speak on the endgame for Sunbreak because I only grinded 500hrs of Rise before quitting it, but yesterday I reached 100+ hrs in Wilds and was *this* close to moving on to another game, but after considering Artian grind I was pulled back into the game to keep grinding. Now I am well aware that this is an OCD part of my brain that is currently piloting me, but Id argue its a good system to keep players invested in playing a game past 60hrs (which if you ask me, is the shelf life of a great game). Not to mention we compare to this to the true villain of actual cash infused GACHA. I mean, you just have to play this game that you already bought, youre not paying premium fun bucks for a chance at the wheel of artian.

I'd rather farm Kulve/Saffi than Artian weapons. At least those fights are FUN.

Farming the same monsters is as fun as the monster is, and I currently don't enjoy farming Arkveld and Jin Dahaad [Because those two are the most common tempereds.]

Are monster weapons entirely pointless? No, of course not. If/When this game's Master Rank comes out, we'll likely get new upgrades to monster weapons, so I've worked to get every one made, but it still feels horrible.

Gravios does have 250 raw, but that blue sharpness and -15 affinity, but the artian weapon can have 220 raw with white and positive affinity and will do overall more damage especially with the three 3slot decos. Only thing that gravios has more of is blast, but you could just rock para on the artian and get overall more damage out with cc
I haven't even made one yet and I'm killing things relatively quickly. Not sure I can even care about the system at all, seems I have the choice to ignore it, which is a positive for me. It might be more required if there is a GR/MR added later.
My Lala barina sns is better or equal in everything, so yeah those weapons are kinda useless.

So i guess you didn't actually make a Rarity 7 para SnS and upgrade it then. Every upgrade adds either extra damage, affinity, sharpness or elem. On top of that, you get 3 Triple Deco slots.
They're lame. Feel like a bandaid to keep us playing in the absence of challenging pinnacle monsters. Probably get outclassed once the MR expansion comes as Kulve Taroth RNG drop weapons did in Worlds.
