I am tired of mods and cheaters ruining this game...

This is my last post and effort. I am very disappointed in the community. The majority who mods and cheat is crazy! You guys have no skills and yet, you bring it to forums and public ingame to flex your cheats and mods and ruin other player's time, progress and their fun! To me, Monster Hunter game is my joy and fun. It's also about teamwork, pure skills and taking down monsters. But again... when I see MH: World and Rise gets overrun by cheaters / mods, I am starting to lose hope day by day. I just don't care anymore. The lot of you and console haters, go hate on legimate players. We just want to have a fair game and enjoy the contents and our time home from work. For me, Wilds is a dream come true! It's a good game. But, it will take time for the game to be in a better state...

Capcom, if you don't care about the playerbase and our time, then disable crossplay to keep console player safe until you fix your dam game! Cheats / mods are on full swing in this game! Mods player said that modding is not cheating and making us a laughing stock. From what I also see, you don't care. I even warned and yet... we still see that you are giving us MH legitimate players the middle finger and told us to solve it ourselves.

I am tired of this. I am tired... I just want to enjoy gaming with my my friends and help random player in public. But I am afraid to even enter public lobbies anymore. It's a dumpster fire... it really is.

Finally, you stated somewhere in the EULA about cheating and modding. Yet you still do nothing! NOTHING!!!!!

I love Monster Hunter. I love the community. But modding and cheating has gone so far that it's out of control. It's out of control.... sigh....

I am done Capcom. I am totally done!

Haven't started modding for Wilds yet like I do for World and Rise, but am going to soonish for the funsies. Namely to see damage output to see how my incredibly unoptimized build does compared to other people, and maybe see if there's anything to enhance the experience, like harder encounters in some form or another that I can do with friends. The game's already insanely easy, so if anyone's modding to one-shot monsters, they're just wasting their own time - not my problem.

You can turn off crossplay in the options before you join a lobby. You can also choose to only group with friends instead of joining random SoS groups. These are both viable options and are present in the game.

Now would it be nice if Capcom banned the people using mods that obviously disrupt the normal gameplay of other players? Absolutely, but it’s not likely to happen, so you have alternatives, which I explained above. It’s your choice to use them or not.

Don't like cheater? Give em boot.

Joined someone hunt and suspect host is cheating? Return from quest.

Play on PS5? disable cross-play.

some need mods to play, to make them "potato" pc can run smoothly. some need mods for cosmetics (change armor shape, weapon colors, etc).
some to increase the monster HP and DMG, so the game can be more hard (if you think the game easy like many people do, u should try this kind of mod).

You know there's mods that add difficulty, right? Or jsut fun cosmetic mods, or reshade mods that make your game like crisp and nice?

'Game is easy' does not mean you shouldnt mod it to enjoy it to its full potential.

I agree. Mods in this game can absolutely effect other players' gameplay. They should all just be banned. I get that some mods are just cosmetic and don't effect others, but can Capcom really be selective and see this mod is good and this is bad? It's impossible for them to police that.

Either all mods get banned or all are fine and if the latter is the case then you get silly little children ruining other players' games.

All we can do now, OP, is wait. The people who mod and cheat will soon have their fill and get bored.
