How does the farm slots cycle work?
In World, it was one resource tick per quest, but how does it work in this game? It’s definitely not per quest. Does it tick per in-game day or per season? I play for about two hours per session, and the farm sometimes ticks up by 2/16 or 3/16, and sometimes not at all. How does it actually work?

It goes by the passage of in-game time and you can rest in your camp to speed it up. It's pretty wonky and a weird system vs the old quest-based one. I think your chances of getting items is based around the 0-3 star rating but I'm not sure if that affects how much you get, or if you get any at all.

Honestly it's the worst iteration of farming I've seen..At least give us an option to see all 5 farms at once or a 'receive all'.
I see. I don’t have time to play for a long session, so my resources rarely go up in the farm. I wish they’d at least go back to the per quest system. Who cares if someone has 10,000 Might Seeds from exploiting the return from quest function.
I think there's also some realtime factors, since I've had mine fill up while I was idling or (I THINK) offline.

The other part is that the farm will fill up faster, and more, if the region is in Plenty, and will not fill up at all in Inclemency (since the villagers have to take cover).

Sometimes you'll see a little message when hovering over the locales in the world map. Something like 'a village is experiencing monster troubles!' or something to that effect. Doing the investigation inside that message will speed it up and bit and offer more items to trade but all-in-all I'm still not a fan of this system.
Speaking of those quests, doing sidequests will also expand the items you can farm.
I looked up how long a day is in-game, and it's one hour. That explains why my farm only ticks up once or twice while I'm playing. That's kinda sad. It would've filled up more than once if it were quest-based.

If you have alot of research points, just push time ahead by camping 10 times. Boom instafarming.

You can progress the farm just by playing but a day takes around 2 hours in game.

If you go to Nata you can see all of them at once. He even has an exclamation mark if one is full.

This. The ! will also appear if one of the farms has a particularly rare item.

This is what I do - I mean more along the lines of being able to open all 5 farms at once with one screen to collect everything in one go. It's a minor thing but would be welcomed.

Oh, that was what you meant.

Yeah, it might not make it that much faster, but it would be nice and a bit more convenient.
