What does your ideal Monster Hunter look like?
I'd love to see something akin to generations ultimate - a celebration of the series taking bits and pieces from each generation with some of the QoL features introduced by modern entries and a large roster of monsters.

First and foremost - Seamless locales with no loading between areas. Quest system is the same as older games where you chill in the hub, lose an arm wrestle, post a quest, eat and depart.

I'd want it to be challenging and threatening with longer hunts and dangerous monsters. I want monsters to strike the fear of gog into me as I become desperate when my healing items run low. I don't want the ability to restock potions/items aside from gathering materials in the field and combining them. No gimmicks like clutch claw or wounds - Mounting is OK.

I'd also like to see a point to the item combine system out in the field and a chance for crafting to fail. Changing equipment at base camp is fine though.

Don't know how this would work, but a monster/type of monster that tracks and hunts YOU. Similar to monsters like Deviljho and Bazel but more robust. Maybe use some kind of item to deter it. It has a chance to show up on hunts but isn't every hunt.

King Shakalaka for the lols. Jhen Mohren would bee cool too, been awhile.

I like the pop-up camp system but overall it feels pretty useless, would be cool to have a base camp system with palicos that can provide passive buffs like scouting items or tracking monsters.

I'd like to see element serve more of a purpose and maybe introduce another element or status. Something like blight build-up on monsters since most end-game metas end up crit/wex anyways.

New weapon types as we haven't seen any new additions since Gen 4 (excluding prowler).

A mobility system that is fun to use but doesn't take away from the feeling of exploring the world. I'm not a fan of the Seikret as Wilds has this big world to explor and it just ends up trivialised by auto pilot.

I want a reason to explore the locales, none of this everything is immediately uncovered and littered with map icons stuff. I miss the feeling of moving from to LR to HR and HR to G, hopping on an expedition tour and chilling while gathering all the cool new items to see what I could make.

I like the expanded weapon movesets introduced by Wilds but would like to see them further expanded with something similar to hunting styles, switch skills/silkbinds/hunter arts.

More skills or offensive skills to compete with crit builds.

Dare I say, I'd love a fleshed out version of underwater combat from gen 3 as it would open up exploration and the types of monsters we could encounter...Underwater was rough but I loved it all the same.

We'd likely never see something like this, but a man can dream!

i hate how same-same the pc versions have been, they tried to capitalize on hardware and make it look good but really all they needed was to add more gameplay enhancements like in GU they had hunter skills which seems really unqiue. altho i haven't played GU, just watched dudes play it lol

Every monster and every map EVER!!!!!! Also get rid of the boring stuff like fishing, wildlife, resource gathering, meals etc. and also replace potions with something like an Estus Flask that gets refilled whenever you rest at a camp. Oh and increase the i-frames on rolls as well.

Yeah, I prefer devs focus on gameplay and mechanics over 'moar grafix and realism'. I might be in the minority here but I preferred the aesthetic of Rise over World/Wilds.

Definitely jump on GU if you get the chance, definitely one of the better 'classic' games!

Refill my loadout every time hunt ends or at least give me an option to do so and we ballin
Auto meal after each hunt
Auto pickup rations and all other nonsense bs generated loot after they get generated so I don't have talk to nata for 5 minutes.
Basically best mh is a game where you spend more time actually playing instead of doing meaningless menu clicking

khezu isn't in it
TLDR: but my ideal MH is one with an end game on launch and no optimization issues
