Overzealous "profanity" filter
So I can no longer use "HH" to identify my Hunting Horn loadouts, which is something I've been doing in MH ever since loadouts were a thing?

Neither can I use "SA" for my Switch Axe loadouts. WHAT?! Absolutely ridiculous.

It is dumb, for sure. I've run afoul of it multiple times too. I'm not sure if you can disable it, either officially or through modification. I don't think it's optional though.

It reminds me of From Soft's overzealous censoring to the point where "Knight" is censored in player names because of three letters following "K" and has persisted from Demon's Souls to Elden Ring.

when i was making custom shoutouts i was gonna make my pinned shoutout "help tom! help ♥♥♥♥! help larry!" referencing the dover boys but ♥♥♥♥ is censored so i had to call him richard instead. i guess i could just use a ! instead of the i but honestly i think calling him richard kind of makes it funnier with the context of the filter.

edit: it's censored here too, making it even funnier to me.

i just hate how everytime i wana change my preset names i gotta look at that stupid warning message

also funny thing that i saw peeps were typing pretty sussy stuff into the emote sticker thingies lmao

Hah, I did the same thing with my HH loadout and was like...huh..H.Horn it is.

I think it was Phantasy Star Online where 'Saturday' was censored because it had the word 'turd' in it.

It gets funnier. There was someone named "Nasser" which is a common name from where he resided.

... Fromsoft censors "ass".

He was horrified to learn, after over 100 hours of invading and co-op, what his name was displaying to others.
