Endgame Dual Blades - element vs attack reinforcements?
Take 3 fire infusion attack relics for an Artian weapon, then compare the reinforcement options:

4 attack 1 sharpness = 315 raw, 5% affinity, 270 fire
1 attack 3 element 1 sharpness = 294 raw, 5% affinity, 330 fire

Which of the two is the stronger dual blade against, let's say, Gore Magala and Rey Dau?
Gore Magala is supposedly weak to fire, but does the fire element outdamage the higher crits that you get from more raw?
Fire is neutral against Rey Dau, can fire element still compete there?

Blast has a 2 star effectiveness against all monsters except Nu Udra. Using the 4 attack 1 sharpness reinforcement, a blast infusion dual blade has 315 raw 120 blast. Can this surpass the fire dual blade with 294 raw 330 fire?

Dual blades have always been super biased towards element, so use the one with higher element. Build for burst, then try to fit in weakness exploit and frenzy. At least against gore, get an ice weapon for rey dau or use status instead. Don't use element weapons against monsters that aren't weak to said element. Blast with a basic crit build is pretty good for general purpose.

Is that still true in Wilds though?

For example, these two speedrunners both used 3-4 attack reinforcements against Arkveld and they have some of the best times I could find:

Although they also did Rey Dau and there they went with 4x element instead of 4x attack:

Then this Gore Magala speedrunner used 2x attack 2x affinity 1x sharpness with affinity infusion on a fire dual blade.

It is really confusing!

It's a problem with the open world format that really hurts elemental builds as you can't build for every element. So most people are just building status unless your only farming a single monster.
Assume this game is same as ones before that although the ingame info tells you a monster is weak to an element, it's not that clear cut.

Generally certain body parts are more weak to the element than others, and sometimes even though it says they're weak to something, raw might actually do more damage than that element.
Sounds like nobody did the number crunching yet?
I found this here with the hitzone values at least. https://mhwilds.kiranico.com/data/monsters/
