Favorite Monster(s) in the Series.

I've seen too much hate, complaints, whining, crying, and so on and so forth for too long in this comment section. And since no one else will do anything about it. It falls onto me.

So I am making this thread as a beacon of positivity to shine bright in the Discussions.

So, what are people's Favorite Monster(s) and why?

Mine are Mizutsune and both Vaal Hazak and Blackveil Vaal Hazak.

Mizutsune because I am a dog person and like Axolotls and it looks like an Axolotl Fox. I find it to be the most cutest Monster, and wish you could tame it and make it your companion over the Felines, Dogs, and Chocobo Knockoffs. And best yet, they glide on soap and use bubbles to attack, which is so very unique and different than every other monster which is just elemental blasts, or jets of elements shooting out. It's truly a cute and unique Monster to enjoy interacting with.

Vaal Hazak and Blackveil Vaal Hazak.

This one is much more simple. I have a also have a love for the dark, the grim, the evil. And thanks to World, I view Vaal Hazak as a symbol for the Death, the Grim Reaper, the "Rot" and "Decay" forces of nature. Unlike all other Elder Dragons in World, Rise, and the "Sudo Elders" in Wilds, Vaal Hazak is the only one that ACTUALLY feels like a "Force of Nature".

It isn't just "It's too strong and thus we label it a Elder Dragon" like most Elder Dragons are. They SAY a lot about Elder Dragons, that they are "World Ending" and "Forces of Nature" but Vaal Hazak is the only one that ACTUALLY feels like it fits the Description. That is exists, and comes from Nature, a true force of nature, like a living embodiment of a concept of nature in the form of a creature.

The other only Monster that even comes CLOSE to this, is Deviljho, the embodiment of Hunger, Starvation, and Survival of the Fittest. Except Deviljho isn't considered an Elder Dragon for some reason, even tho it can destroy entire nations and kill entire biomes just by existing as it eats non-stop forever.

Anyways I love Mizutsune for the visuals and fun, but I love Vaal Hazak for the concepts and themes along with the bad ass visuals.

For me, Teostra has become one of my favorites over the years along with Lagiacrus, Dalamadur, and Gore/Shagaru (love them both), but tbh Jin Dahaad is starting to become one of my new favorites from this game.

1.Deviljho- loved dinos as a kid, and this is the scariest dino looking pickle in the series
2.Caedeus- best fight and theme ive seen yet, awesome final boss in Tri
3.Bazelguese- love the A-Bomber, hunted tons in world
4.Rathian- my ol friend i hunted since tri
5.Malzeno- cool design and fight
6.Barioth- old nemesis in tri, always up for a rematch
7.Gigganox- one of favs from tri days, creepy and fun fight
8. Gaismagorm- awesome freaky design and cinematic fight

Zinogre, That will never change, his design is dope, his move set is fun to play against and he ain't not slouch.

Commenting for my partner here too, but her's is Mizutsune, she loves her bubble fox.
We actually have their respective Journal icons as stickers on the back window of the car lol. Like a stick figure family, but better. (with a palico head for the kid)

Tobi kadachi just for the unique design.

It's has posture resembling a wolf but a sneak's head and movements of a squirrel. It almost makes snakes cute. Mostly I just like that it's not just a generic animal/fantasy animal (like a one of many dragons or an ape).

I also like Lala Barina. Despite being just a spider it looks very fancy and the "transformations" are quite something.

Zinogre Lite that clings to trees sometimes. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind Tobi at all, but he has far too much Mini-Zinogre energy to be "unique design". That is my take at least. I think I prefer Viper Tobi, personally.

I guess we did need more Temnocerans, and she is very different to Nerscylla.

Bloodbath Diablos is my alltime fav, even though i started with World and worked my way backwards through the Games.

He just looks evil, is fast, brutal and he really sets the Hunter under pressure.
And Bloodbath Diablos is the only Monster that has an actual scary roar, because he punishes you, if you get hit by it.
