Pls help me, should I use Longsword or Dual Blades
So i already got spoiled about the weapon swap thingy, but I wanna know which weapon should I use till then.

Also can i get some general tips for both weapons in this game, and how they differ from world?

Longsword performs better, you can also have two of the same type.

Try finding guides or watching speed runners on youtube. imo that would be easiest. gl!
BOTH

LS is great (as usual) and only needed quicksheath.
All that counters make me goes hard.

DB with their perfect dodge is also pretty cool too, you need a lot of stamina skill for it tho and maybe enhancer to keep the perfect dodge damage buff longer.
DB. Always DB. Spam Demon Dance combos and naruto run to victory. The iframes on dodge also are absolutely nuts this time around. Super satisfying to dance around the monster.

LS even if everyone keeps saying it's easy mode.. isnt that easy to master with the counter. I rather dodge normally instead of snapshoting attacks to be able to parry.

Sure it has a certain nice flow to it. But I still would choose every other weapon. DB, GS, GL, SA.. all great. CB for some reason isnt it this time around for me.. cant even tell exactly why.

LS is said to be the easy mode. That can be either good or bad depending on your situation. Even old longsword users say that it is too good now. It still has some skill ceiling but floor is real low if word is correct.

Depends. LS is great for getting tail slices and dual blade is good for a consistent, if pretty flat damage with a few spikes. If you play as a group and actually take the time to break up the monster for loot, go for an LS. If you're solo and just progressing through the story for now, go with whatever makes you smile the most as it's all irrelevent.

LS is more of a 'functional' weapon like, hammer or horn. Stay near the tail and the LS will get that thing lopped off in no time. Can make farming very rare drop a breeze.

Go with the one that you like. Meta and general opinion don't mean anything as long as you enjoy the game.

The biggest advantage of LS would be the range of the weapon, and you should use it if you prefer parrying with iai and foresight. But if you like using Evasion Mantle, then DB would be a better choice.

I didnt even know they bought that change from rise! So quick sheath actually works on wilds?

After using dual blades, it just feels so amazing! And I didnt even know about the perfect dodge mode yet! Its so amazing!

LS has always been a form of easy mode, mainly because even though its a tail cutter, you can just swing it as a monke and easily win. And the best part of it are the counters.

And I feel you there about the CB. Idk what it is, but it feels super different. I still love it, but now im leaning a bit away from it.

Luckily I have a friend group, and one of my buddies is finally interested in using LS, so I might finally put it down after so long.
