This game is confusing
It throws so much stuff at you right from the beginning. It overwhelms you with information. How do people get into this? cause honestly, I'm finding it rather tedious.

Are you referring to the story, or are you talking about the controls, items, weapons, etc? Cuz if you're referring to the latter, Capcom assumes you already know everything, and they have been doing this for a while now.

You get hooked.

Yes, you are absolutely right that the game is overwhelming at first.

But once you had an amazing boss battle with a monster, experiencing the satisfying victory like in no other game, you simply get hooked and move on.

You can try using these guides of mine - they are written for Monster Hunter Rise, but most of the content are still very useful for this game as well

I have 16 differnt wepaon types to choose from at the start. all these differentmenus, and sub menus. item menus, and just loads of other stuff. also, there seems to be a glitch. I can't see the monster's health bar.

it's been like this for decades now, WIlds is still the best intro/tutorial they made in a MH game.

You are meant to discover the things along your playthrough.

Careful. If you mean it genuine: there is no monster healthbar.
This is why games are so hand holdy these days with yellow paints....

MH does not have a monster health bar, instead they have visual cue's to show if the monster is half dead or almost dead by the scars, tired breathing, limping and skull icon on the map

Monster Hunter is known for its overwhelming beginning of the game for newcomers to the franchise. Just like the rest of us its up to the user to experiment with trial and error a little bit to find what they personally like. This is the first in the series i think there's a little too much menuing though so i can totally see the frustration.

Back in Tri, they had you unlock weapons by progressing, and the only weapon you started with was a sword and shield. It did not go over too well.

If I have to read any guides to understand how to play a game when i first pick it up, it's a bad game.

Well done! It wasn't worth the asking price either way.

This is by far the easiest MH.

It's not hard at all really , most items you don't really need.

If you kept playing you'd understand everything but bye I guess.

That's what I'd say if I couldn't afford it either. :skitarii:
