Is it just me or is it wierd that they are introducing Mizu in a title update rather than in the base game?

Mizu is a pretty easy monster, so its strange that we would fight him after gore and arkveld.
REALLY hope they just turbo buff him bc I want to be able to farm monsters other tempered gore/arkveld.

Although, its understandable as the cold area map is too small and "stair case"-esque for it to appear there...BUT GAMMOTH!

I do not think it is weird. It is a nice touch after Monster Hunter Rise. I think she does not need to have appear so soon again after that, in favour of a newer monster - but still a nice touch, considering Monster Hunter Wilds has so much fanservice to begin.

And especially after Monster Hunter Rise she would have felt misplaced to begin with in the ecosystem - but with the story ending the gates are now open for new species from all across the world to come and rise.

there are no elder dragons in the game to create a higher tier of monster so they are free to make mizutsune match the current monsters.

also, its not just mizutsune going by what they said. he could just be added to expand the roster with the other creature being the difficult fight. similar to stygian and safi releasing at the same time.

I'm super disappointed that they're leading with Mizu. It's kind of an easy/annoying fight with dumb looking armor.

Fine if they wanted to use that rig, but do Legaricus or something, don't just cherry pick one of the lamest monsters from Rise.

Merphistopelin would be really good for Wilds with his elemental absorbing, given turf wars and weather.

Why is it weird/ They have been introducing monsters from past games in TU's since the IP came to PC and modern consoles instead of stayign handicapped by nintendo.

It needs a buff because it's one of the easier fated four in GU but this is 6th gen we are talking about.

There's no way they can make it hard lol. Without it being unlike anything else ever in 5th/6th gen.

Capcom doesn't care. It's like pokemon now. People are just happy to see their favorite monsters. Difficulty doesn't matter.

I really dont mind which monster is, but It is important that their first update needs to have Weight and Challenge put into it. they can make the monster a pure 6 min normie again. That will hit even more the playerbase and the deminishing fame the game is dragging rn.

they need something good, and something strong.
