Why do people get mad when DPS is posted?
Are you upset that your incompetence is being pointed out?

EDIT:
It seems to me that the biggest gripe with posting DPS is the fact that most players get very upset if they're not #1

Not everyone has a DPS build. It's perfectly acceptable to have low DPS, but getting upset over that is petty and immature.

Edit2: Insulting someone for having low DPS is completely unacceptable. That is not what this post is about. I was talking about POSTING damage numbers, not being an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about them. Major difference.

If you use dps meter then just keep it to yourself. What's the big deal? If you know how to mod then chances are you know how to cheat too. so you're not proving anything by posting your dps.

Unbothered. Moisturized. Happy. In my own lane. Playing solo with a palico. Focused. Flourishing.

I have a very neutral opinion on the matter unless people are actively trying to grief others: I have never, not once, cared about my own dps. Grats if you get top deeps, but I value it very little. It isn't much of a brag outside of speedruns tbh.

If someone wants to hunt with me, all I care about are the carts as they actively determine the success of a hunt and my rewards at the end. If you consistently get carted, it'll be a learning opportunity for you and I'm more than willing to offer advice. Or vice versa. God only knows how often I get carted. :bonfire2:

I'm gonna be honest here, I do use dps meter myself but posting dps meter or flaming out someone in anything that isn't T Gore is pretty cringe cause everything is just so casual friendly.
Once ArchTs are out tho, you have all rights to flame someone for being bad honestly, this isn't content for everyone if it is balanced like world.

The fact so many took this bait is... I told ya'll's woke and anti-woke ain't the only bait around here and all them have no allegiance. The fact the OP replied acting like they don't understand is enough to just ignore them and move on.
SirPanty 13 de mar. às 18:44
Think most folks here are misunderstanding the op, while yes it is against the tos to use such tools it is pretty much harmless unless someone starts talking sh't after posting it. Maybe whoever shared is just letting you see how much you did so you can guess how well you did not vs the other party members but compared to your previous runs.
Dps meters have been used for so long as self improvement tools, usually it's the minority who ends up using it for the wrong reasons.
That being said it is still against the tos so if you get into trouble that's on you. Post those numbers when you're with friends, not in public lobbies.

I genuinely am confused why people get angry and start bringing up ToS and stuff for people posting DPS in chat. Like, if you really dont care, why does it matter? Why do you need Capcom's involvement? To me, it sounds like people dont like their DPS being pointed out due to it being so low.

But crying is easier than improving, so why should they bother? :steamfacepalm:

Is a DPS meter even against TOS? Wouldnt it just be reading data, not modifying it?
Cr1spy_w0lf 13 de mar. às 19:16
Imagine flexing DPS but no TAwiki completion time on tempered monster... Lame...
Катюша 13 de mar. às 19:17
Monster Hunter community just clashes greatly. In the past, DPS and DPS metres weren't even considered that much, really. So older players clash with the newer players whom are seemingly obsessed with DPS, damage and clear times.

It's exactly that, it's basically just number crunching in an automated form. If a player counted all four players' damage numbers and added them together, and posted the math in less than a fraction of a second, that's suddenly not cheating.
