Thanks for stating the obvious.
Maybe should add that their way of thinking is doing them more harm than they realise. But they will not get it nor read this to begin with, I am afraid.
A bigger problem I am seeing is, that people with such lack of morals are more likely using other mods which can lead to savegame corruption for their fellow players if e.g. field surveys and investigations are shared which are manipulated in rewards and monster stats.
That makes it a legitimate reason cut connection with cheaters as soon as possible.
Reported for what? I don't see the issue here? If you mean people who are freaking out and getting mad at people for "Not doing enough DPS" and being Toxic. Then I can agree with you.
But just people using the tool for whatever reason, without causing issue to other people? How is that a bad thing? Next you're going to tell me anyone using a Cosmetic Mod to make the armors look better for their own person taste should be banned from ever being allowed to interact with the internet ever again?
Your post seems a little extreme, and hateful without context of the main 'issue' going on here.
It is meant to be helpful.
it's bait. He saw Tenz making bank... and thought he could do the same. As if anyone would care about getting blocked. Also so far as I know (didnt really look for all the options) there isnt even an report feature rofl.
Players will want to see where they can improve, which is good. This can be used to help them with that. If someone says "I'm curious what my numbers are, can I see?" then by all means let them know.
You might see a player with low numbers. That could very well be a sign that they aren't doing all that they can. However, don't forget that horn players will attack without targets necessarily to get specific buffs, and that there are a few like myself who specifically load up on Free Meal and Wide Range to help out where we can - I'll heal if someone is very low on health, or pop an armor / demondrug to ensure the party has them buffed up, or eat a nullberry if I see someone else has a blight I can remove and I'm not attacking at the moment. There's stuff that helps the fight that isn't "hit monster" that a DPS meter can't take into account.
On that note, "flexing" your DPS numbers unbidden to the group is also seen as poor conduct. "Guys, look how much damage I did!" sounds great until you realize that the other three people were trying to cut the tail, or break a specific part, and they couldn't because "max numbarz" killed the monster before they could break it, or they failed because you had to capture it and you nuked the poor bastard.
It's a tool - use it well, don't abuse it. Just like a hammer can build a house, or club someone to death so you can steal their house, be the former, not the latter.
