After that it pretty much comes down to it how much you want to grind, it is not an MMO, the grind aint infinite. If you want to get all the armors and weapons and min/max then yeah, you can sink in a 100h ez.
In the end once you have what you want, you basically wait for the new content drops of new monsters and eventually an expansion pack.
Note: MH Wilds is much more generous with rewards, you get flooded with craft materials so grinding aint really a thing per say. 1-3 kills of a monster nets you the whole set pretty much.
high-rank is very self-propelled. your goal could be just to get rank 40, 400, or certain builds, armors, fashion, completion.
Should be a reasonably accurate representation.
Usually they patch in new monsters, so the endgame extends every few months.
Really huh. Disappointing because I really enjoy the gameplay. I've gotten 80-100 hrs in games in just a few weeks of casual play. No NG+?
Circa 60 hours for the story.
I assume I need another 100 ~ 200 hours for all achievements
For everything I think 700 hours
Well there is no NG+ as it is a live service game, so continuous. You get to the end and wait for new content.
For me it took about 35h to complete it all - low rank/high rank and all side quests. the other 40h I spent on min/maxing my gear. Most of the RNG is getting the decorations you want to build up your passive ability combinations, once you have those then gear farming takes next to no time at all since you can swap out the decorations as needed.
I find the times on howlongtobeat pretty accurate.
They list World at something like 425 hours for the "completionist" play through and I'm at around 215 hours into a second play through and still have a lot of things I want to do.
