In other words just some "Monster Hunter logic" moment
It's called Mods, my dood. Mods! "Pause Meal Out of Battle"
It lets you able to enjoy the game, without a timer, cause it will only tick the meal timer down when on a mission, or can even set it so it's only when in a "Battle", so if you do enough damage for the monster to disengage and move to the next location to fight at, the meal timer pauses cause you aren't in a 'battle' anymore, till you get to the location and battle them again.
Any problem you have, especially with Conveniences, there is probably a mod for it.
Don't like that you have to Sharpen Weapons when your done a mission? Don't like that your items don't restock when your done a mission? Don't like that you glow red and yellow while under buff effects? Mods solve all your issues, my friend.
And if you aren't a PC player. I only feel pity for you.
