Can't see players
looking for help as to why whenever im in a public lobby i cant see any other players in the base camp. no matter what area i go to the base camp is always empty even when the lobby has tons of people in it. This also includes link parties, at the time of writing this i am in a link party with a friend and i cant see them even though we are both in the same camp

Pretty sure you only see the other player when you're actively hunting something.

nope, public lobbies allow you to see other players in the base camp, i know this cause some of my friends are able to see them but whenever i do it i cant see anybody inlcuding my friends

i dont see people till i go out and clear a hunt and come back or i sit in my tent for like 5 mins

ive had occassions where like, one of the 10 people there are visible but as soon as i go into my tent and come out or leave the camp and walk back in they are invisible again.

it really frustrates me as i love seeing other players and feeling that community

weird question (mostly as idk if it actually affects anything) but what region are you in im US east and i normally see between 5-10 players in camp with me when im around long enough

im playing in the uk so i imagine its connecting me to the Europe region as thats usually what most games do for me

ok im in game right now (which is a lower activity time range do to US work hours) and see 7 others in camp with me right now in high rank

the most ive ever seen in camp is 2 people that can end up vanishing again if i go into the tent or anything its weird and idk why it happens

A lobby can have 99 players and you can see 16 of them in the base camp at any time. Obviously people might just do quests, so it might be less people you see at any given time.

Outside of the base camp you can only see those who've an environmental link with your or, in case of quests, only those who've joined your quest

yes i know but what im saying is no matter what the game never shows me the actual players in base camp, i could sit there for 10 minutes and the most ill see is 1 or 2 other players even though there are definitely more than that there (friends have confirmed it for me)

very odd only thing i can think of would be region/ping connection not matching with others well but that seems like a stretch or i feel more people would be talking about it maybe file a ticket with the support team and see if its something they know about

i could try that, i do know im not the only one with this issue ive seen a few steam discussions that were just never commented on talking about the same issue im having. its especially weird because the first time i played the game i was able to see everyone perfectly fine

I've found sometimes it just take a minute or two for people to appear. Most people seem to hang around the main camp in the first area, it seems.

i was sat in base camp for over 10 minutes one time and not a single person appeared
