edit: in general, they will either have like a gimmick, or a joke, the chicken one has a food pun in the name->rewards food items"
sometimes you'll see one with a name like "tiny trouble" and all the monsters will be small/minimal size
they're *mostly* for fun but some give good rewards
The other quest gives you special mats to make an event head armor that's a little monkey thing clinging to you.
Sometimes its a ticket for cosmetic or piece of armor or whole set, sometimes its special consumables, like food ingredients, sometimes its just special, super hard hunt.
The Sinister Saints switch axe in Tri was one example comes to mind.
If they follow their usual routine, the event quests will eventually cycle back and be available.

You can check the rewards (in the description you will get some information). Also you can see the time frame and what will be available in the near future.
