Why do I keep getting Fatal D3D error (6, E_OUTOFMEMORY, 0x8007000e) during Compiling Shaders?
Switched from GeForce GTX 1650 Super 4GB to Radeon RX 6600 Core 8GB and now I can’t get past compiling shaders. Every time I open Monster Hunter Wilds, the optimizing game data screen shows up, and always makes it to about 80% completion until the game crashes. I have tried every imaginable solution I could find:
  • Verified integrity of game files
  • Use to DDU to uninstall NVIDIA drivers and install AMD drivers, tried using 24.12.1, 25.2.1, and 25.3.1
  • Compatibility mode for Windows 7, and Windows 8
  • Disable fullscreen optimizations
  • Run Steam & game in administrator mode
  • Adjusting TDRLevel and TDRDelay in Regedit
  • Made sure DirectX was up-to-date
  • Set ShaderCache value to 32 from 31 in Regedit
  • Updating from Windows 10 Pro to Windows 11
  • Uninstall and reinstall the game
  • Set up paging file for VRAM
  • Used dx11 argument in launch options
  • Disabled every in-game overlay & game bar
  • Shut down any background processes
  • Freed up ~100GB in drive where Windows is installed
  • Reset shader cache through AMD Adrenaline
  • Deleted shadercache2 file
  • Deleted CrashReport.exe and .dll
  • Increased RAM from 16GB to 32GB
  • Changed desktop power settings to High Performance
  • Set High priority to MonsterHunterWilds.exe on Task Manager
  • Removed CPU 0 affinity from MonsterHunterWilds.exe on Task Manager
  • Set game to use High Performance GPU through Windows Graphics Settings

Every single time I get this error message in the crash report

Fatal D3D error (6, E_OUTOFMEMORY, 0x8007000e)

Yeah I ended up fixing this a while ago, it was the config file for me too. I ended up copying a config file with with the lowest graphical settings possible, and had to change the graphics card on the config file to my Radeon RX 6600 and it worked.
