no. of course not. i don't think anyone thought this was going to be playable on the Deck. just like DD2

If DD2 is anything to go by, you might be in luck: https://www.protondb.com/app/2054970?device=steamDeck

Depends on your standards, and how the game actually runs when it's released of course

A game like this… I could probably go 30fps with some dips. But it would have to be mostly 30.
Could maybe go lower than 720p to achieve that

Might have to wait for steam deck 2 before getting into this.

Judging by the recommended specs of this game, Its safe to say it wont run on the deck.

Damn. I guess we’ll see how miserable it is at launch. Makes me look forward to the next deck even more. Wilds will be my deck2 launch title if it runs it

That's the downside of the Deck, the hardware is more or less fixed like a console. But almost nobody is willing to use its specs as a minimum baseline and build/optimize accordingly.

I don't know about anyone else with a Deck, but I'm not bothered by that. I've got enough in my current library that it can play that the rare few new(er) games that I buy won't really be missed on that system.

The Deck is weaker than a PS5?
Well they are likely to push a new stronger deck eventually, or you could try the stronger easier to use rog ally which mod like PCs cuz they use win OS but I don't use my ally for intense games lol

That’s absolutely fair, I’d be the same if I had a gaming PC.

I think there are a good few of us who weren’t into pc gaming before the steam deck, so steam deck is our only gateway into pc games.

If it can’t run on steam deck, I don’t have a gaming rig to play it on, I just have to pass on it, and capcom loses a sale. Or a couple hundred thousand sales, depending on how many people there are like me who are “steam deck only” pc gamers.

I don't know how you feel about game streaming services, or if it's available where you live, but Nvidia has this thing called Geforce NOW. That's how I play some of the games that the Deck won't run (or games where I want to just crank the settings as high as they'll go), and it's actually how I'm planning to eventually play Wilds; Capcom has World and Rise added to the service and I'm willing to bet on them adding Wilds at some point on (or after) launch.

I actually wasn’t aware of this… thank you for chiming in here. This could be a temporary solution to get in on the fun at launch before deck 2 drops.

no way, i would say ps3 but it supports all the modern game engine effects

+ the resolution is like half of a 1080p tv.

I’m the same way. The steamdeck is my first foray into pc gaming so if it won’t run on the deck then I can’t play it unfortunately. I thought I was the only one. Most people use the steamdeck as a backup for their pc or just a portable option I guess.
I only play indie games on Steam Deck. 1 because it's not a power house. It's limited on hard drive space. It runs all indie games no problem though and not drain the battery really fast. I managed to install 160 indie games on the thing and like 50gigs of emulation stuff too.
