"Playtest" Scam Warning

I randomly received a Steam message from someone in Chinese for a website which is apparently "gifting beta test access" to MH Wilds, url: "playtest,monsterhunterwild,gift". The website asks you to login to your Steam account, as scam websites do. Not about to find out.

Stay aware out there.

Thanks for bringing that up. I hope everyone stays away from the scams and don't get fooled by them. The earliest when we might get some access to the game would be in December through a demo that we just download it here on Steam. Most of us should know this much, but new players that are interested in the game might not.

I hope any potential new player stays safe and far away from these scams.

Quick tip for anyone who gets a scam link: If you want to help, copy the scam URL and paste it into https://www.whois.com/whois/ then look for an abuse contact. Send an email to the registrar with the details and they will take it down.

Its not much, but its the tool that we have to fight back against stuff like this

Never click any link on steam no matter what, if someone talks about something such as "monster hunter beta release date", type that information on google instead of clicking any links.
