Yea.... Most of Tri's monsters were just improved versions of existing monsters.

Qurupeco was just better bird.

Gigginox was better Khezu.

The Great Jaggi, Baggi, and Wroggi were all just better dromes.

Yet for nostalgia reasons we keep getting the boring ones.

Gigginox might be completely dead, Khezu is one of the most popular monsters in Japan and the director doesn't like monsters too similar in the same rank and element, for the most part.

Anything which hasn't seen the light of day for a long time. Which means I'm not asking or wanting anything from 5th gen or generations 1-4 that appeared in World or Rise.

Popularity is the reason. Khezu unfortunately is more popular in Japan than Gigginox. Great Jaggi seems to have been ousted by Kulu-Ya-Ku unfortunately.

i'll say what nobody else has said yet, I Want to fight nefu-garumudo from mh explore
i want to fight frontier monsters too, specifically i think baruragaru is my most wanted
in terms of ones i think are more likely to return tho, if we don't get one of the mohrans i will be very disappointed. The game looks like a sequel to 4U in all but name.. and graphics.. and platform.. and a lot of things but the point remains ok

gen lagiacrus "land lagiacrus" is basically just ivory lagiacrus, honestly i dont know why anyone prefers that over the original trio. hes not supposed to be a super lightning monster himself, hes a water leviathan with two subspecies

People complain about gen Lagiacrus being too lightning focused when Tri and 3U Lagiacrus is exactly that. Slithering, dive, elecball and electrofield spam. Nothing else.
