Eh I joined World late anyways to the point it was Iceborne Title Update 2 or 3 so it's not a big deal

I usually wait atleast a few weeks after games come out so some of the early issues are fixed before I start playing. Plus to me its just a game.

i think you're wrong in your assumption of how long it will last your pc, there is a common trend in game development to make games resource heavy as hell, if you check reddit you see a lot of people with the best hardware like 7800x3d + 4090rtx combos or intel i9 14900k + 4090, complaining about how unoptimised new AAA games are. This paired with denuvo drm, often makes them unplayable. They already make games with upscaling technology to be a requirement to reach targeted fps, wake up, moore's law is dead, computational power with each generation is minimal, and nvdia is scamming its customers by cutting down performance on each generation. I don't have a problem with pre-orders myself, but I really don't understand the appeal.

Some games charge more for pre-orders so you can get earlier access. But personally, I view this as scummy from the publisher. Taking advantage of people's impulses.

When they aren't doing that, they are doing what companies like Capcom has done in the past: Offer temporarily exclusive items that literally anyone will be able to unlock later. Rendering pre-orders useless.

I've been playing Monster Hunter games for almost 20 years by now and I quite literally have never been disappointed. While I still don't pre-order this far before release, I might get the preorder stuff regardless in a few months.

no physical editions for anyone anymore buy it online or not at all
