BEWARE: PLAYTEST SCAM

I just got a private message on Steam from a friend who sent a link to what appeared to be a playtest for Monster Hunter: Wilds. I almost fell for it; it looks quite legit and even has a link that looks like it's from Steam. But know this: Capcom absolutely hates PC players and would never allow us to play Wilds for free for any reason. If you get a link for a playtest in your private messages, report the person for a compromised account.
If you clicked on it out of excitement (like I did), Change your password immediately and log out all your devices. Steam Guard and TFA are your friends.

Be careful out there!

Edit: I have been informed there will be a demo on the official Steam Page from October 31st to November 3rd, so I guess the PC peasants get to play a little bit for free. But still beware of scams in your private messages!

Grow up. It has nothing to do with capcom hating pc. It has everything to do with data miners and pirates who go above and beyond to either unlock the demo, datamine stuff that isn't revealed and you name it.

You're right. I overreacted with the "Capcom hates PC" thing, and there's egg on my face in the shape of a Demo. But I definitely did get a private message with a scam link for Wilds, so that's still legit.

Внимательно осмотрите какой друг отправляет. обычно это акауны где играли ток в доту и кс. конечно же такие игроки решали поиграть в монстр хантер))

Carefully examine which friend is sending. These are usually accounts where dota and CS games were played. of course, such players decided to play monster hunter))

I may or may not have downloaded a song from a shady website that may or may not put a spam pop up adware for pr0n on the town library computer ~20 years ago when I was a teenager. I got the hell outta dodge when it happened. Good thing they’re virtual machines.
