calm your tits, the beta actually ran well
even tho the FPS was all over the place the game remained fluid no stuttering or freezing, it was 40 fps but fluid 40 fps , which means the final build should run well and be very optimized

like there is no way in hell it's gonna run bad on PS5 , PS5 has no config variables they knew exactly what they're working with, there's no way they'll mess up what is arguably the second biggest title of 2025 next to GTA6 there's too much at stake here to mess this up on performance and bad graphics

the point of the beta was to test the servers it wasn't meant to represent the final build it wasn't a demo

and all the "but Dragons Dogma bla bla blah".... this is Monster Hunter bro it's a way bigger and more important title than Dragons Dogma they can't afford to mess this up

Edited main post then posted again with more downplaying. You're huffing copium.

DD2 is relevant, it's the same engine and it still runs like crap even after they patched it. You really think that if the MHWi team knew how to fix it's problems they wouldn't tell the DD2 team and it wouldn't be fixed already. Game will release very similar to the beta, watch this space.

EDIT: And the beta most definitely did not run well.
DD2 is literally irrelevant next to Monster Hunter doesn't matter if it's the same engine... by your logic every game released on this engine should run as bad as DD2 because it's the same engine

horrible take u got there

*ah, you're a points farmer*

My man, you're too late on here. Try out the Stalker 2 forum for ragebait.

you're literally trying to bait with these dumb comments so get blocked.
What impressed me so much is whatever they've done on the RE engine, even when it's running sub 60fps the beta was buttery smooth.

No stutters, no hitches, no obvious signs that it was sub 60.

There's videos out there of the Wilds beta at 30fps and it's SMOOTH.

that's what i'm saying, the fps was all over the place but it was smooth
Yet another post making an attempt at defending an obvious problem.
As someone who ran the game at a choppy 15-20 fps, and saw people with much better rigs getting better framerate but still choppy. It's not a one size fits all. Just because it ran smooth for *you* does not mean it ran well for everyone.

Nothings gonna be smooth at 15fps my guy.

I'm talking stutter, input latency, etc. Obviously I know 15fps isn't going to look "smooth" like 30/60/90/120/etc would. The game was playable, I got over 10 hours in the beta, but it's far from "running well"

Stutter and latency will be massive at 15fps even if you were playing on a literal block of butter.

Come on be reasonable.

Loling at all the people thinking they can petition capcom to change fundamently how the game plays. HAHAHAHA

Weapons feel great!
Graphics amzing!
Gameplay peak!
World dead!

Fluid doesn't mean what you think it means, a fluid 40 means it's not staying at 40, which is still to say you're trying to keep the bar at 40 to begin with which is near console level bad.

What they mean is a stable framepace. If the framepacing is all over the place, the game feels less fluid even if the FPS is high and stable.
It also went well for me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ and my rig isn't impressive. No polygon monsters, 30-45 fps, no connection issues. They have plenty of time to optimize it for launch.

Well to this point kinda yes. Street Fighter 6, DD2, Monster Hunter runs on the same engine and shares the exact same flaw.
Only saw devs noting to fix the FSR3 shadowing issue but never went into the topic of game's optimization. I'm sure it'll be better but not by what people are expecting.
