Hunting Horn is looking fun

Legitimately looking at selling some junk and getting into this. Hunting horn looks really fun. Definitely feels like the old one from monster hunter worlds.

I wish I'd spent a bit more time in the beta to try it out myself. The changes Rise made did make it much easier to just pick up and use, but I did miss having to figure out optimal combos to apply each horn's buffs

I saw it, but it didn't feel like it was trying to make hunting horn a sort of different version of a hammer style of gameplay. Not that I've got a huge keyed in idea of what that means.

I think I like that it looks like they value the feeling of the slower tempo moves, and then use that to make the higher tempo moves more challenging, and escalate the sense of expertise when you do them well.

The rise version looks like they kind of flattened it to a similar pacing. The positioning importance of dooting and swiveling looks like its come back a little more...giving the horn its visual weight some gameplay-inclusive charm.

That's my sense.

Capcom got rid of lot of the standing in one place maneuvers so it's much safer and allow players to be more aggressive. Aside from that, we can stock up 2 to 3 notes when using Echo Bubble or other moves. We can really spam Recital after just one action. Even performing Recital and Encore is much faster now. I don't know how to feel about Offset Melody. I would prefer Perfect Dodge mechanics instead of a counter.

I am a hh main in worlds and in wilds hh looks fun to play ngl. It seems more complex and rewarding to play instead of the usual spin to win moves. I will be maining hh in wilds once again. It honk it bonk it be very strong.
