Accessing the character creator
I see that some people are still accessing the character creator, anyone mind pointing me in the right direction?

Care to point to a video of someone using something they probably shouldn't have access to right now?

Are the people that have access to the character creator in the room with you right now?

If they are, then they're likely using a cracked version of it, and piracy is against Steams TOS and no one who values their account would be silly enough to talk about that here.

The ideal character creator in my mind are designed to be a sort of anchor. It's kind of like the prologue in a theme park MMO.

It gets you hooked, you spend time doing something to anchor your attachment to making the first hurdles and clearing them.

Its sort of a hereditary bit of psychological manipulation...as well as being a genuinely nice experience.

It's also not the focus in the later half of the experience like in MMOs.

Its a sort of hereditary nicety if you still appreciate the decisions you made in it, but execution of gameplay is where your ego rests during the later phase.

That and any cool stuff you built. Some people tap into that through paid DLC, but imo... the sensation of being a badass through gear is best done via actually doing the content that gives it.

Unless you can do some incredibly creative things, and come up with your own version of "Let Me Solo Her"... I doubt it will matter to anyone.

This game is coop so even troll squad sort of stupid designs don't exactly do much for making you into a sort of menacing bad guy or a dopey antagonist.

I don't think you should hang your hat on if you like it or not. It's definitely there as another means of getting you invested...but the real work is in the transition of what you begin to care about later.

So yeah, don't sweat if you can't check it out. It's not that important, in most designs. If it is important, its a direct means of selling your more DLC in most of my experiences.
