Looking for the opinions of people that had good experiences with the beta on a laptop.
I haven’t had a dedicated gaming PC for years now and I’m looking to get wilds when it releases. My living situation precludes me from getting a full desktop PC as I simply don’t have any room to put one, so I’ve looked into getting a new laptop. But I have basically no idea what to look for in a gaming laptop nowadays, so I’m looking for the opinions of people that have had good experiences with the beta on one to tell me what brand and model they happen to be using in case any good black Friday/ cyber Monday deals show up this year.

No offense, but there's likely no such thing.
Laptops are going to burst into flames the second they run this game.

Lol, my brother just got a new laptop which didn't burst into flames.

I believe it was this one, but the 1,699.99 one

It played smoothly at 60FPS with medium settings

The heating issue is very easy to solve if you want to invest a decent amount on it.

I never owned this model in this video, I'm sure there are worse and better than this one, but from these stats they seem to massively reduce the temperature from almost cooking levels to decent desktop levels.

If you do game on a laptop, I suggest getting a ventilation pad for your laptop, and as always ,limit your frames on laptop to as low as possible.

The higher frames a laptop puts ouit, the quicker it heats up you dont want that. On my laptop I always play games at 70 fps depending on how demanding a game is (I lock it to that).

I also suggest going apu instead of intel cause intel processors 13xxxx tend to run hot.

With that said, I if you CAN make space, obvoisly do that instead cause you can get a good PC for the price of a laptop.

"good experience" and "monster hunter wilds" in the same post? i don't think anyone on both PC and consoles had good experience with it besides people with high end PCs

I heard people with a 4090 / 7945hx3d / 32gb ddr5 had a serviceable experience but keep in mind that laptop costs 3 grand and performs far worse than it's desktop counterparts.
I have an helios 300 2070 rtx with an i7 cpu of 10th gen and 16gb ram. Ran fine on medium and I had a blast. I plan to improve it to 32gb but thatll be it till february

we had. High end pcs didnt had because their standards is far up.

Please dont use your own experience as something general for everybody else.

That's what you should have included in that comment. Because it is a fact that shouldn't be ignored.
Good mobile performance for this game without compromising graphics is going to need a 4080 or better. You are far better off getting a PC, even if it's an ITX case its still way better than a toaster.

More trolling.

Medium looked pretty decent so long as you weren't using upscaling set below Quality.

I agree that desktop is better. I use notebook because I work remotely. Life is not centered only around my gaming activities. I have other stuff to do. Unfortunately a notebook is more efficient to me due to being able to work on different places.

The thread is literally about users on notebook. Go touch some grass and improve your interpretation skills. Also getting a job helps.

I'm glad to hear it's running well for you! Maybe I should try lowering the settings a bit more. Fingers crossed the optimization will be even better when it’s finally released

???
You can literally have a desktop and a laptop. Desktop for gaming, laptop for work. Laptop is lower spec of course, because it doesn't need high end hardware. Might even end up being the same price as buying only a high end laptop, those things cost a fortune.
Talk about tunnel visioning.

Nobody cares.

OP inquired about a laptop. Its his choice, his money to spend.
