"Unplayable on my PC" meanwhile on a 10 year old server chip and a 2060 at 1440p...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dduL2AmZxyc

This guy is just blasting the folks saying "this game is unplayable on my PC" as he shows perfectly smooth and very playable footage at 1440p captured on a Haswell-E 5930K and an RTX 2060 6Gb.

This game needs a bit of work, which it will receive before launch, but this game is absolutely playable at a decent quality on systems much older and less capable than people think.

People complaining about the shader compilation is odd.

This is a good thing, it prevents hitching.

Especially in a game like Wikds.

It feels like people are way too impatient nowadays

Having played games with extreme hitching and texture pop in because they are trying to load shaders on the fly, and I have a reasonable NVMe drive, I much prefer just prebaking the shaders at launch!

Its a huge deal in emulation of larger Games also where JIT will just die, we actively share shader caches to avoid it XD

The shader comp is only one time, at first startup, I dont really think thats a big issue.

Also mine took only 10 minutes or so. Where did youj get he 30 mins from ? :P

From the video I linked in the OP, on a 10 year old processor and a 2060 6Gb. But it ran pretty incredibly well after it was completed.

The person said 30 minutes in the video. I can't remember exactly what mine was. But I most certainly extended the time required because I was doing other stuff on my computer during the shader comp process. So it was probably 30 minutes for me as well since I was watching youtube videos and what have you.

And wilds looks exactly like word graphically, even worse, so dunno why you keep this crusade, the game is terrible optimized, everyone know it at this point. Dunno why you are so happy about paying 70$ to play a N64 graphics game unless you have a rig from this year.
Monster Hunter Wilds looks significantly better in its BETA, than World does with High Res DLC texture packs.. Furthermore, as I just mentioned, we are talking about a BETA- which by definition is NOT optimized.. The fact that y' all are talking about optimization in a BETA is downright insane... The game could run better- and it most likely will in its full release- if it doesn't I agree, it will be unacceptable.. Lastly.. Stop mentioning a BUG (the polygon textures) in a case about graphical performance load :)
