But i ended up on the gunlance instead because of the nice combos.
Love the clashing htey added also and custom block animations
Neither feels great in Wilds. If I play Wilds in this state, I will just main Long Sword.
i tried bow in 3 when i started playing monhun games, didn't really like it much. then i gave it another try in world since the game was much different from previous titles and i just couldn't get used to the ranged controls being so different from melee.
i think bow looks really cool this time around, and have friends that play it but i won't be likely just 'cus i can't get used to the controls.
While it definitely seems to be missing some stuff in Wilds or feels a tad off (specially with the triple poke) i think the changes had the opposite effect for me and it's kinda catching my eye this time around so i might be picking it up as a main again to see how it goes. Just 1 of 3 added to the list of maybe's i suppose to try out if my usual main and off main don't work feel fun to me anymore.
But I have to say, I didn't like how the power guard works now.
Often, I couldn’t tell if I was just blocking normally or using a power guard, since the glowing effect looks similar if you block right when the monster attacks. Maybe it’s something you get used to, but I preferred the old power guard, It was just more reliable.
Also the pokes feel very precise, too precise, which often leads to many misses even if you are under the monster. I think the hitbox needs some adjustment.
But what really sealed the deal for me is Seikret jousting. it's not "good" but it was amusing, and I accidentally finished the introductory hunt with one tick of damage from it.
I'm a little happy to have found someone with the same opinion.
Since he changed his mind, I'm also looking for a new boyfriend.
Breaking up is painful, but it's natural. I accept my fate.
Thank you to everyone at Lancer for the wonderful gameplay videos so far.
And Lance felt way more mobile in World:
