This game is ugly as hell

It genuinely looks like some executive saw breaking bad's "mexico filter" and said "hey I want that, but with saaaaaaand". It's literally brown sandly slop. It looks so damn bad, like. Wow. How can anyone look at this game and say "This looks good' What kind of copium is that???

And on top of that, apparently the sand is so detailed that you need NASA specs to run it properly. Wild as hell

Yes. They seriously didn't have to simulate your eyes being hit with sand to a point, where you can't see anything.

Eh, compare it to the Wildspire Waste in World. I think it looks a lot more vibrant and interesting than what we've seen in Wilds. There are ways to make deserts visually striking, but Wilds's desert biome is a drab, tan color and everything in it is obscured by the awful windblown sand in the air. It's just aesthetically unpleasant.

There are way better looking deserts than this, just take a long at rdr2 desert area, extremely more vibrant and better textures.

Can someone with technical knowledge explain to me why all these new games (even Wukong) that look otherwise very good, have garbage rock textures? In fact, it seems as if they don't even have textures at all, and are just extruded forms. They don't look good close up, just like blurry shapes...i thought things like nanite were supposed to fix this...
