Get stronger gear, also get good.
You shoot it with l2 to aim and r2 to shoot. There is a big dung explosion and they scatter. Now you follow big doshi and hunt normally:)
Jokes aside, to get better do not just mindlessly attack, monster hunter is more like a dance, monster makes a move and you react, then you do your move.
Take your time and learn the movements :P
Should that scare you off? no. Keep hunting & learning the move sets of the monsters and you will improve.
What is new in this game and what you should realize is that the game will now try to indicate to you when you're targeted. So if you see red scoutflies you will need to take defensive action. This also means that if you're in a part you need to steer the attack away from the rest. Especially some of its splash damage lightning attack that has oneshotting capability has a tendency to wipe out an entire party of the attack is mismanaged. Other than that it's about looking for openings in patterns. For example if Rey Dau does two flying wing attacks (where one wing carves the ground), you get a guaranteed opening for an SAED like attack. Similarly if it attacks you with a fast wing strike, it can do 2 slower ones after followed by a slam attack. When it does lightning attacks, the one that doesn't really charge up, you can make it stop doing that by walking behind it.
After that it's a matter of understanding monster tempo: when the monster will decide to take its turn and try for an attack, when it will be 'resting' and when it will collapse on the ground. Getting this process down is essentially what monster hunter is about.
Be sure to use your mount to save you and heal you, on some weapons it's a better weapon sheath than sheathing the weapon. You can use healing potions on your mount and your mount is fast enough to clear away from the monster. Once you're healed you dismount for a mounting attack which will (at some point(s)) allow you to mount the monster. Mounting the monster allows you to inflict wounds on its head and back, you can then draw weapon on the wound on its back and reserve the face wound for after it gets back up. You can destroy wounds in combat either with heavy attacks or by using the special focus skill (aim button + sheath button), which in some cases also buffs your weapon. Destroying wounds has the ability to disable the monster for a duration allowing you to get more hits in.
The System is a little diffrent.... maybe the Purple Stars?
We know about some Aspekts not much.
