poor performance @ native res 1440p w/ rtx 3090 & 7950X3D
https://hecate.space/i/2024-11-01_17-28-05.k6dUuVP.png

there is not really a good reason why my computer (specs pictured above) is in the 45-50fps zone @ 1440p medium-high settings at native res.

i quite literally cannot play the game like this - i have an eye issue where low framerate motion gives me severe eyestrain and causes migraines if i try to deal with it for more than 10 minutes at a time.

the Usual Solutions of TAA, Upscaling, etc _do not_ actually address the issues i face - though they do tend to improve raw performance, they do so at the expense of adding temporal ghosting to all motion, which still causes problems for me.

it's genuinely frustrating - i think that a generally top-of-the-line computer should be able to run a modern game @ 1440p120hz medium-high, native res, FXAA. these are not consoles and the game should both look _and_ run better.

it's baffling that even with upscaling disabled, you have to have TAA on if you want any anti-aliasing at all. if the graphical pipelines are mangled enough by the upscaling tech that basic ol' FXAA can't function at all, then there's something deeply wrong on a technical level here.

No game should be optimized for 1440p as a priority. 1080 should be the main focus unless it is a story style game. This is an action game, who gives af about playing in 1440p

Not agreeing with that guy you quoted totally... but man, userbenchmark is a trash website with wildly inaccurate comparisons use a proper benchmark reviewer to make your case. https://youtu.be/5TPbEjhyn0s?t=1321 4070 super actually trades blows with a 3090 and in some cases with specific games does outperform it. As for the 4070 TI super, the 3090 gets btfo.
right but we werent talking Super or Ti Super

Yea I should have clarified better when I said I don't agree with the guy you were quoting. I don't agree with him because the 4070 isn't going to outperform the 3090, the upgraded versions though are comparable and better. 4070 ti s was handling beta test quite well. The game does need to be worked on for better performance but with some tweaking in the settings I'd wager the 4080 and 4090 can brute force good frames in 1440.

Well if you have a modern PC or a monitor thats bigger than 24 inches, 1080p looks awful, so lots of people have 2k these days. Also almost no one plays at true 4k or 2k, everything is upscaled using DLSS, so lets not pretend gaming companies are optimizing for 1440p or 4k, and not using DLSS as a crutch.

Anything bigger than a 24" is pretty much a complete waste unless all you play is story based / cutscene focused games. No serious gamer plays on anything larger as you cant keep track of everything on a screen bigger than a 24"

1080 is no longer the primary resolution.

i get 100+ frames pretty much in most areas (at least where i traveled) with a 5800x and 4090, 3440x1440 all maxxed with frame gen, DLAA only and the game feels and looks fine, i had no issues chasing monsters around with some pals and even did rey dau

unfortunately the only gpus that seem to be worth buying nowadays are the halo ones. there's also a ton of copes surrounding frame gen. if you can use it, use it.

I've got a similar setup (12th gen i7 and a 3090, and the weirdest thing is how I can't get above 70FPS with any settings, I can drop it down from 4k to 720p on the lowest settings, and I'm still getting below 70FPS, think this may be a combination of drivers and game optimization.

during the alpha and beta test phases is when consumers should talk most about problems a product has, so they can be addressed by full release. Sitting back with a thumb up your bum acting like "oh well im sure it will be fixed by launch" isnt really helpful to the player or the developer.

Also this game has bad CPU optimization. My GPU rarely gets to 100% utilization, usually sitting at 60-65 (3080) and my CPU sits at around 50-60 utilization with some cores being overloaded and other underused. Sucks. Thanks Crapcom.

I'm going to assume you aren't using either upscaler or frame gen and trying to use at least the high graphic preset. I don't know why you are all ignoring Capcom that are telling you that using the upscaler is highly recommended.
