Combat feels a little off?
Wondering if it just me but player movement feels sluggish, I've played DB in every MH title but in this one demon mode feels slow, compared to world. Anyone else experiencing this?

Seems to me like they were so excited about Dragon's Dogma 2's mixed ratings and massive criticism of how ♥♥♥♥ controlling the character felt that they wanted to spread that exact sentiment right on over the MH franchise.

yeah combat is way off now. and your animation is now locked during a combo u cant change your direction in between them.

im not sure what make them change it. its so hard to hit now, it felt super clunky now. If i wanted to compare, Rise was way better in terms of combat handling if we want to look at the previous installment.

felt so bad using charge blade now.

They really want you to use Focus mode to reorient yourself.

Yes I can't put my finger on it ( Played with Bow and Long Sword ) and I have noticed some input lag / actions not registering.

is it just me or does charge blade block much easier in this vs world?

Lance feels weird as hell. Slow and exaggerated animations.

I'm glad I went with my usual bow: it's exactly the same as in MHW, if not better. Except for the pesky "out of range" messages :lunar2019scowlingpig:

yeah definitely, probably going to switch to bow as main now. it feels so good compared to MH World

I've only played with sword and shield so far, but I gotta say, much like rise the impact of hits don't feel as meaty as World's does. It's a minor gripe, but otherwise it's been pretty fun for me. I am glad that critical hit's don't have that flash effect that World does.

The only thing that seems off about the combat for me (comparing to World) is the sound and the effect of hits don't really seem to pack a punch. Even when you stun a monster, the effect just doesn't seem strong at all but, more like it just kind of happens. In World, the hit that stunned them (or knocked em back or whatever) was pretty significant when it happened. Even the roars and sound of them feel really weak. Whatever that lightning monsters name is, his roar feels equivalent to the Great Jagras, lol.

that's probably the AI frame generation. If you're playing at 60 fps with frame generation then you only have 30 real frames for inputs to register. I notice it most when I roll there is a delay between pressing the button and rolling.
