if you have 3060
Set the resolution to 720p.
Use the dlls performance.
Download the Frame Generation mod.

YES, this is exactly how I played Dragon’s Dogma 2 a couple of months ago. It’s playable and smooth af, but it looks like ♥♥♥♥. Alternatively, you can bump up the graphics settings and make the game run like ♥♥♥♥, pick your poison.

Or simply just buy a 4070

I have a 3060Ti and set everything to Ultra and had 60fps most of the time, sometimes dipped to 50fps. On Medium settings I had 70-80 all the time.

I played with Hardware Monitor and saw that my GPU was never utilized, at most 5-10%, my CPU however was 80-100% all the time. Game seems to heavily utilize the CPU which is super weird. Even on max settings my GPU did nothing and just idled.

This is called an optimization issue and it needs to be fixed. Call it what it is. It's not your GPU. Poor optimization is exactly that.

Not a vote of confidence here from me. Ignore the fanboys who will eat it up if it literally was poison and we clearly have performance issues with the game and the timeframe to release is quite short to a point not a lot of optimization is likely. Looks like it's time to wait for the bugs to be fixed and a sale on this and it isn't even out yet. Developer got lazy.

I have a 4070ti, the game isn't running any better for me. Capcom dropped the ball on this one.

Oh, really? I thought the 4070 would easily handle this game at 1080p. I mean, the 3060 with the Frame Generation mod gets around 80-100 FPS on medium graphics and DLSS performance, but of course, that’s at 720p

Guys, stop posting your GPUs, it's not the GPU that is the issue.

Again I repeat:

I played with Hardware Monitor and saw that my GPU was never utilized, at most 5-10%, my CPU however was 80-100% all the time. Game seems to heavily utilize the CPU which is super weird. Even on max settings my GPU did nothing and just idled.

CPU utilization is supposed to hit 100%, maybe learn how a PC works. I have a 5800X3D, there is no excuse for how this game runs when my entire PC is well over the minimum and recommended requirements.

One genuine question, im the only one that thinks that after playing doom eternal with those amazing graphics and such low requirements for it, we are getting scammed by this triple AAA games nowadays with such high requirements for not that much amazing graphics? 💀

Lmao, no it's not supposed to hit 100%. If it hits 100% you have a CPU bottleneck. Who told you that you should have 100% CPU? xD

I can play like 90% of my video games library and all of them will hit 100% GPU utilization before CPU, except games like Civilization etc. that are heavily CPU dependent.

And btw i know this is a beta, and not the final product, but guys be honest, when you remember companies fixing this types of performance problems when games get released and months after? because i dont.

Got it, you're an idiot. How about you actually open task manager and look at utilization when you're playing any game released in the last decade and assets are being loaded. You will clearly see that the CPU utilization hits 100% while your GPU load will be proportionate to your settings in game. The GPU is not responsible for streaming assets from your SSD or hard drive to the ram and gpu. 🤡

Exactly. I mean, I got scammed with Dragon’s Dogma 2 at full price. This game might end up being kind of bad, but probably not as bad as Dragon’s Dogma 2. I think it's better to wait for the full release and see what happens

Chill out man, you're arguing with a guy who enjoys playing at 1080p on medium settings with frame gen at 70-80 fps and thinks it's okay LMAO

No, didn't use frame gen, why would I need to with a recent CPU you can play this game just fine. People just buy 4080/90 and use their 5yo CPU and think they have a top tier build while their CPU is bottle necking them like crazy.

The 5800X3D was released in 2022. You have a little over half an hour in the beta. The game runs fine for the tutorial, did you even make it out of character customization? It took me an hour to get my character and palico just right and then I played for two and a half hours with the crappy frame rate popping up after the game put me into a lobby. Go read a book or something instead of making misinformed claims on the internet.
