But idk, i just feel like the combat of MHW was so good and fluid and loved by most, idk why they would ditch that formula and change things. I could not play Rise because of how awful it felt to play.
Having said that, the game is nice; but, it hardly rocks my world (deliberate pun). I will get it -- eventually -- just not going to work myself into a lather over playing it day-1. There are other games coming out that I want to spend time on, and MH is 50% modding and third-party tools, which won't blossom until a few months post release.
I'm leaning towards waiting a few months after launch to get it. I'm sure it'll need multiple performance patches just like Dragon's Dogma 2.
better for your brain and fingers. MH is a very demanding game, so slowing down is a good thing.
And if you don't use focus mode 24/7 you're just missing your attacks, this game was built around focus mode it seems and it was a mistake to ever think that adding the bow/lbg/hbg aiming reticle to melee was a good idea.
Luckily I enjoy using HBG so that actually works fine and set it as my secondary. Might end up having to main it this game because of how abysmal melee combat is. Or cancel my preorder and never bother with any new monster hunter titles again. Rise was full of mistakes but at least it played like a monster hunter game
