Playtest not launching

i have downloaded the playtest but when i hit play nothing happens. i can see it running in steam, and i can even see it running as a background process in task manager, but nothing happens on my screen.
i confirmed with a friend that he is able to launch it, but have seen on reddit a few people are having the issue im having, but with no solution.
currently running on windows 10, no anti virus other than windows defender.
tried launching it as admin.
tried resetting steam and comp
tried re downloading.

anyone experience this or have any suggestions?

even my potato PC can run until connection error because the server are not online yet

so thats why it isnt working i shouldve assumed that

Open Test is not LIVE yet, you just preloaded the game, so don't expect to be able to connect to any servers.

It's not live, but Coltron_3030 should be able to start the game and load shaders before getting kicked out because the servers are not up.

Beta test open tomorrow, not today. That's why you can't play. You know the meaning of preload is, right?

his game wont even launch the game and he cant even get kicked out before trying to connect to the server

Maybe he shouldn't hit the play button because the play test can't be played yet today so the game has got error and stuck.

bruv, software and games doesnt work that way especially games with servers nowadays

You forgot 1 thing. This is still beta test, bro so maybe there are still some bugs on it.

How long did you wait until you stopped it? For me, it took a good while for the game to load. It first started off as an invisible window on my task bar, that I could hover over, after that, it was a black screen for a while. After that, the game started.

How long did you wait until you stopped it? For me, it took a good while for the game to load. It first started off as an invisible window on my task bar, that I could hover over, after that, it was a black screen for a while. After that, the game started.

Currently when i try to open the game its just does nothing ,steam says that i am playing it but the game doesn't appear ,not even in windowed mode like you .
Do you have any suggestions or i should i just wait ?
