Open world genre means you can pretty much go anywhere, at anytime without much restriction.
map still has zones, you are still capped at 4 hunters in a hunt. 16 in a town and 100 players in a lobby.
But it is like before, the difference is there is no loading screen, it is a small travel thru corridors or jumps etc.

It's "seamless" but world and rise already were, no loading screens between areas like the old games.
it is not open world. Open world means there is no blocks/progression stopping you to get places. Wilds already said to have these blocks. That means its not open world.
Open world can have loading screens. That is not what open world means.
ToTK, BoTW, elden ring, Dragons dogma 1-2, Minecraft, Fallout, TES games.
Open world games let you tackle the quest or goal in several different ways. Monster does not have "several different ways" it has one way. A linear path. And as i said NOT an open world game.
