can 5700x3d hold 60fps? dlss and framegen off
If there were no gpu bottleneck

At 1080p and 1440p, probably. But only just.

Going off beta.

By saying no GPU bottleneck I guess you're making this a hypothetical that you have the best GPU in existence at the moment? So a 4090? Without knowing all the other specs which greatly matter, you would have a 60fps but I cannot say it would be 100% of the time at 1080P

yeah 4090 or 5000 series hypothetical

5700x3d based on the beta performance, which hopefully it only gets better from there, was running at 60 fps without frame gen, though with the state the game was in anything could happen and it could have some frame drops.

GPU bottleneck is really going to depend on what model, the rtx 4060 or equivalent would be enough for 60 too, though on medium settings with upscaling based on the beta performance, if going to a better GPU you can drop the dlss to anti-aliasing only so it displays native resolution.
Nope. You will drop frames at the Hub base. Dont listen to Goblin lying again who only played with Frame Gen on.

The only specs I've seen with stable native 1080p 60 fps are with 5800x3d(with 4070 super) and up.
The vids I've seen so far with 5700x3d(with 4070 super) are around 40-45FPS native at 1440p and 70-90 with frame gen on. Given performance toll from video recording, I'd assume the actual performance to be around 50-55 and will reach 60fps at 1080p.

a 4090 will hit 60+ fps and still be gpu bottlenecked outside of the hub which has some rampant cpu calls for some reason. I mean cpu still doesn't "really" matter long as you've bought something within the past 5-8 years or so and it wasn't budget tiered.

I've tried with a 6700XT and a 5700X3D. The game did not run on stable 60fps on native 1080p with the forced multiplayer.

It did though before I was forced into full lobbies.

Based on beta, I would say barely, but don't hold up hope for stable 60 fps before a few performance patches.
Plenty of benchmarks online featuring 7800X3D + 4090 that were unable to get stable 60fps on <1080p internal rendering (1440p + DLSS Quality), often going to 50's on more demanding scenes like the town lobby and to high 60/low 70 on everything else.

Everyone drops frames at the Hub base, which is like 2% of the game.

It's also the only part of the game where frame rates don't really matter.

You're only accusing me of lying because you are trying to put people off this game.

No. Pray for optimization or be prepared to turn on those dlss. :D
Níðhöggr Nov 14, 2024 @ 8:48am
It should be able to hold 60 fps. It really depends on devs to optimize their code for the launch. Good and optimized code brings good fps as simple as that. The devs must also turn down some effects which tanks heavily fps like RT, GI or any 256bit alpha effects. We really don't need photorealistic frames.
